If you are travelling as part of a group and staying in a homestay, you will normally be collected at the airport by a private coach pre-booked by CES Cork.
For flights arriving in Cork Airport you will be met by a member of CES Staff before taking a private coach transfer to the school.
The journey from Cork Airport to Cork city centre takes approximately 20–30 minutes, depending on traffic. The coach will bring your group directly to the CES Cork main school, where you will be met by CES staff.
For flights arriving in Dublin Airport CES staff do not attend the airport in person. However, we remain in close contact with the coach company and driver to coordinate your arrival, ensuring your group can easily locate the correct coach. Your group leader will receive full coach details and the driver’s contact number before travelling.
You will enter the school and take part in an induction with a CES staff member. During this induction, you will receive all essential information and materials, including transport passes. After the induction, your homestay hosts will come to collect you and take you to your accommodation.
Homestay hosts will normally:
Pick students up on arrival
Drop students off on departure
If a host is unable to provide transport, CES will arrange a taxi.
The host pays for the taxi — never the student.
If you are staying in a homestay, your host family will bring you to the main school on the day of departure. A private coach will then take your group to Cork Airport.
We normally leave:
3 hours before the flight
This timing ensures a smooth check-in and security process.
Coaches can stop:
At an agreed location close to CES Cork suitable for group arrivals and departures
For larger groups or multiple coaches, CES will advise the most appropriate stopping point in advance.
